ANNOUNCING TRAVEL AWARDS - MTNcSfN

The Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience (MTNcSfN) is happy to announce that it will fund THREE travel awards in 2018, at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels (one award each). 
DEADLINE TO APPLY: This Friday, March 16, 2018
HOW TO APPLY in 3 easy steps: 
1- email to suzana.herculano@vanderbilt.edu a SINGLE document with your abstract (even if not yet submitted or accepted) and a one-page letter of intent that starts with a SINGLE SENTENCE on what your work is about and goes on to describe yourself and your experience, the conference that you wish to attend to present your work in 2018 (including the current status of your abstract, deadline for abstract submission, location and dates of the conference), and explain why that conference is of particular interest to you.
2- THEN come to the Neuroscience Extravaganza on March 19th, 1-5 pm, Light Hall 208 at Vanderbilt, and BECOME A MEMBER of the MTNcSfN; AND
3- present a 3-minute talk on your work at the Neuroscience Extravaganza. You MUST email your slides no later than Saturday March 17th to present on the 19th. Applicants that do not present at the Extravaganza will be ineligible for the awards.
Winners will be announced at the end of the Neuroscience Extravaganza.
All awards have $500 value and will be granted against proof of acceptance of the work submitted for presentation.
Note: Applicants to the travel award are automatically also competing for Best Talk prizes at the Neuroscience Extravaganza!
